This one is more focused on the main characters, each one going off on their own little quest. Very different from the previous books in that way but I liked the exploration of each character’s backstory and the other worldbuilding aspects.

I was surprised by the end since the book doesn’t really have one. The major conflicts introduced in this book are not resolved and it ends with the characters taking a breath before presumably tackling them again in the next book. Reminded me a lot of Empire Strikes Back in that way.
