Good continuation of the series, liked the first film more though.

I was a bit confused as to why there were elves at Helm’s Deep, but didn’t mind that bit of fan service. Weirdly they did the same thing in the hobbit movies, I guess people just like seeing elves everywhere?

One change I didn’t like though was how Faramir was portrayed. In the book he is much more reserved and long-term thinking, while he comes across as rash and eager to please his father in the film. Book-Faramir is also able to resist the lure of the One Ring the moment he learns of what Frodo is carrying. Film-Faramir on the other hand tries to drag the hobbits and the ring to Gondor and requires a demonsration of the Ring’s corrupting influence before being convinced to let them continue their quest. That whole sequence seemed a bit confusing in the Film.
